More than 6,400 trade visitors, 120 exhibitors (40% international), more than 700 conference delegates, 90 speakers, 45 R&D&I projects, and trade delegations from Brazil, Turkey, Algeria, Russia and India.
These are the figures from BcnRail 2011, an edition that achieved its main objective: to open up new international business opportunities for the Spanish railway sector.

The I BcnRail International Rail Forum was the key point of convergence for the Spanish railway sector and the international situation. More than 78 Spanish and international speakers explained the options available for doing business in countries such as Algeria, Russia, India and Turkey to over 260 conference delegates.
The Projects Classroom of the Spanish Railway Technology Platform was the setting for the presentation of 45 projects that showcased the high standard of technology in the Spanish railway sector.
The workshops presented the investment plans in railway infrastructures of countries such as Brazil, Russia and Poland, amongst others, offering new opportunities for the Spanish railway industry to grow.

At the initiative of Railgrup, the leading Spanish railway cluster, BcnRail 2011 was the host of the I International Seminar on Clusters, which demonstrated the need to establish a major European cluster.
